Dedication 2019

When the Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show first started it was known simply as the "Kerrville Show."
From the humble beginnings of showing animals in the 'open air' above what is now Antler Stadium, to
its present location at the Hill Country Youth Event Center; this annual event has grown to represent
4-H and FFA members from across the state of Texas. There have been many changes over the previous 74 shows.
The one thing that has not changed is the volunteer spirit. With deep roots in agriculture, volunteerism is alive and well
at each show. The largest all volunteer livestock show in the state is represented by 2nd and 3rd generation directors who give
unselfishly to make each show the biggest and best. Each year the annual livestock show is dedicated to an individual or
individuals who have helped make this annual event what it is. The Diamond edition of the Hill Country District Junior
Livestock Show is dedicated to the volunteers, both past and present, who have donated their time, sweat and devotion
towards building a better future for our most valuable asset, the Youth. When you visit the 75th Annual Livestock Show,
please give thanks to the volunteers who are working to continue a tradition of giving back.
